How Prayer Times Differ Across the Country October 1

The prayer schedule for Dhaka and surrounding areas has been released for Wednesday, October 1, 2025, corresponding to 16 Ashwin 1432 in the Bangla calendar and 8 Rabi’ al-Thani 1447 in the Hijri calendar.
According to the schedule, Zuhr prayer will begin at 11:53 AM, Asr at 4:09 PM, Maghrib at 5:53 PM, and Isha at 7:06 PM. On the following day, Thursday (October 2), Fajr prayer will begin at 4:36 AM.
Due to geographical differences, prayer times in other regions of Bangladesh will vary slightly. For example, in Chattogram prayers will be 5 minutes earlier, and in Sylhet 6 minutes earlier than Dhaka. In contrast, timings will be slightly later in some regions—Khulna by 3 minutes, Rajshahi by 7 minutes, Rangpur by 8 minutes, and Barishal by 1 minute.
Salah (prayer) is the second pillar of Islam after faith (Iman). It holds central importance as it will be the first act to be accounted for on the Day of Judgment. Beyond the five obligatory prayers, Islam also emphasizes Wajib, Sunnah, and Nafl prayers.
